Vectorworks traces back to 1985, when the company’ s platform, MiniCAD, was launched on the early Macintosh. Now part of the Nemetschek Group, Vectorworks Architect updates lines drawn in 2D to 3D, which allows users to easily transition from initial sketches to final construction documents. Functions such as Non-Uniform Rational B-Spline( NURBS) and subdivision modeling also allow users to create more organic shapes.
