During the buying process , many contractors also turn to the Internet for information . Nearly 84 percent said they use the web to research brands and models , 63 percent said they do so to research specifications , and 58 percent read reviews . With mobile usage on the rise in the construction industry , many equipment manufacturers and software providers hope apps will aid customers achieve greater productivity , safety and efficiency on a daily basis .
