All new structures and pipelines at the new water treatment plant are supported by 1,110 deep reinforced piles to keep them in place during shaking
Not only are the new facilities designed and constructed to withstand major earthquakes , the network of interconnected water systems also expands – increasing water reliability for Lake Oswego , Tigard and communities across the region .

MAKING BETTER DECISIONS WITH GIS Both Tigard and Lake Oswego have also used geographic information system ( GIS ) technology for a number of years . The technology can access and view mapping while in the field , which is important for creating infrastructure .
