JJ : KONE UltraRope TM technology can reduce the total cost of ownership thanks to many benefits : – reduction on energy consumption , reduction of downtime caused by building sway , longer lifetime of ropes themselves . As the cost of the UltraRope TM goes down we expect it to be used as an alternative also in low-rise buildings .

MARINA BAY SANDS RESORT – SINGAPORE The first customer installation of the KONE UltraRope TM technology was done in 2013 at the Marina Bay Sands integrated luxury resort in Singapore . Made up of three impressive hotel towers and a spectacular Sands Sky Park that connects them , the Marina Bay Sands resort was opened in 2010 . It houses 146 KONE elevators and 6 KONE escalators .
